The weather in Mauritius remains pleasant all year round, allowing you to enjoy the beach or the swimming pool and participate in outdoor activities in ideal conditions.
Like all the islands of the Indian Ocean, Mauritius enjoys a typical tropical climate with only 2 seasons and which are reversed to those in Europe.
Austral summer: from November to April, a very hot season, but not scorching, and quite humid with risks of cyclones between January and March.
Austral winter: from May to October, a dry season with moderate temperatures and in June, July and August the trade winds bring some cool air. We say winter, but the temperature of the water remains on average at 24°C!

Being less exposed to trade winds, the west coast of the island is less humid and hotter than the southern or eastern region. At night, the temperature will go down by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius.
The sun sets early and rapidly disappears behind the horizon, at about 6 p.m., regardless of the season.
